Updating 'THE LIST'!

So I have slacked on updating the 101 list! I have not forgotten about it. Just been busy doing a few of them :] So this is what I have crossed off the past few months!

#5- Find a partner for weddings [Christina Labrador is my go to second shooter now!]
#8- Lose all my baby weight [Back to pre pregnancy weight! and back in a 8-9 pant!]
#9- Be more assertive when doing wedding photography [Things go much smoother now that I know what im doing.]
#15- Become someones 'family' photographer [I have multiple families which are about to complete their families!]
#16- Take a family beach trip.. Just the 4 of us [Took our first beach trip in August!]
#34- Buy better batteries for my flashes [I have started buying new ones about every 6 months or so]
#41- Move Delaney to her crib [shes been in there since we moved to moms! Doing wonderful]
#59- Educate and convert a friend to cloth diapering [Ive gotten TWO friends to convert. And even interested in sewing their own]
#89- Re-upgrade to a smart phone [We got rid of verizon and are now on Thomas' parents plan to save money. Oh and its a smart phone woo]

SO I owe the kids $9 each!

First Family Beach Trip!!

So on the 25th we trekked down to Myrtle Beach for our first trip as a family! No hurricane was going to scare us away from relaxing. We had an awesome time. On Thursday when we got down there we went and got some family photos taken on the windy beach. I cannot wait to see them! The kids did great during the session.
Went to eat at Hard Rock that night and Dreyden thought it was the coolest thing that we went into a pyramid. And if you know Dreyden you know how much he loves rock n roll! Some of his favorite songs came one while we were there including his favorite Kiss song "Rock and roll alllriighhht" so he says haha.
Friday was a gloomy and rainy day that we made the best of. It was the day the hurricane started to hit. We took a trip to Ripleys Aquarium. Both kids LOVED it. Delaney was wide eyed the whole time and hitting the glass when she got close. Dreyden was amazed at the sharks swimming around us and all the fish.
We spent as much time as we could in the pools at the hotel. But one side was open to outside so if it was really bad outside we had to go to the room. We were supposed to leave Saturday morning but I decided we should stay one more day because it was supposed to get nice.
SO glad we made that decision! We got to go back down to the beach and pick up shells and play in the water. Went to Broadway on the Beach as well for lunch and to ride some of the rides with Dreyden. Delaney enjoyed her first time on a Carousel!
Of course here are some photos from our trip! Cant wait to post the ones from the other photographer. Hopefully I will have them soon.

Im so behind in updating this!!! I still have yet to buy a journal. I need to do that next time Im at walmart. I will get this updated as soon as I can.

Dreyden was begging for one of his danimal drinks so I gave him one. It was the last one and I went to throw the cardboard away. He started yelling "did they win the ultimate playground! Did they win!?" Apparently they are giving away ultimate playgrounds to schools by using codes. He is so silly and obviously watches wayy too much TV!

CLOSING!!

I CANT believe we are closing on our loan tomorrow! This makes it OFFICIAL! the house is OURS!

My son is obviously on a silly spell today. He is too cute.

Running through the house playing his air guitar and singing "Gonna rock in roll all nighhttt party everyday"

Then he proceeded to tell me that he likes boobs. Of course I asked him why and he just replied "I dont know! I just do, they are so nice" LMAO Where do they get these things?! We dont have TV at the moment so its not something he had seen.

Delaney has figured out her scoot crawl! And she has finally started to try and get on her knees and rock back and forth. It is wayy too precious and I hope I can catch some pictures or better yet video of her soon!

And THREE weeks from today we will be taking our FIRST trip to the beach as a FAMILY. I cannot wait to spend time with them and actually relax and not have to worry about daddy leaving to go to work.

Our house!

So we sign on our construction loan on TUESDAY! We are so excited for this. Luckily the builders have already started on the house so we can get in asap. We figured it would take forever. But my mom called today and told us there are now walls up and a roof!! Cant wait to get out there this weekend and get this weeks updated photo for the scrap book. Here is the progression I have so far.

On a mission to become a better mommy and wife. I have a few things that need to change :/

Shooting a wedding this weekend and then I will start! Will include me not being online for an entire week. I have a lot of photo shoots to catch up on with my kids :] As well as trips to the park

I LOVE these days

Went outside to blow bubbles earlier. Delaney loved them. She giggled everytime they blew near her.

Came in and she played on the floor for a bit and finally rolled over to watch tv. Dreyden got down next to her and sang her a song, gave her a doll, and she fell asleep :]

He is currently laying next to her with his arm over her <3 Why are my kids so adorable!!

On the way home from dinner last night we passed women's hospital. Dreyden looks and goes "Daddy! Is that the hospital mommy went to have her new baby?!" I was amazed he remembered! I think it almost made me cry it was so cute.

Also he told us a story of a starfish that went to a circus concert :] I love him so much.

Such a big boy now!

Three years ago today I was waking up to contractions of Dreyden making his appearance. At 10 am we were walking to get them closer together. By 11 they were 5 minutes apart. 12 we were at the hospital admitted :]. Then at 4:34 pm Dreyden Thomas Farquhar made his debut.

7lbs 15oz of beautiful baby boy. We were so excited to meet our little one finally!

 

Happy 3rd Birthday Dreyden! 

I still cant believe how much he has grown. He is one of the smartest three year olds I have ever met. Always open to meeting new friends. He is growing up to be such a handsome little man, and I cannot wait to continue to watch him grow by his sisters side.

 

 

I am BUZZ LIGHTYEAR!

So awhile back Uncle Erik made Dreyden some "Buzz Lightyear" wings. He LOVES these things. Runs around the house knocking things over with him while pretending he is flying. Its the most amazing thing to see his imagination working so hard.

 

Delaney has also became a pro at scooting to almost where she wants to be. She hasnt made it far yet, but she will soon! Usually I find her just off of her mat in the other direction :]

And this is Dreydens new face he makes! Ask him to show you what color his eyes are. He will open them as far as he can. It cracks me up every time!

And of course the booger told me to take a picture with him and this is the face he makes..

 

Silly head. I CANNOT believe he will be THREE.. yes THREE in about a week. We are having his little party this Friday. I hope to see everyone there!

Cuddles

Woke up this morning to an arm and leg thrown over me. Dreyden was in bed with me cuddling passed out. I love it when I wake up to him sleeping next to me. What I dont like is waking up to him poking me in the eye screaming "The sun is awake the sun is awake, wake up mommy!" Well.. maybe I enjoy it a little.

Last night was a rough one! My oh so wonderful baby girl who has slept through the night since 2 months has recently disappeared. I'm hoping she finds her way home soon ;]

And I know that I am WAY overdue for new pictures of the little ones. So look out for some :]

On the move

We had a wonderfully busy weekend! Friday was calm and we just hung out around the house :]

Saturday we woke up and went to visit daddy at work around 9 to eat breakfast. Dreyden loved going to see daddy. And Delaney loved showing off her smiles for all of his co-workers. We left there to go buy supplies for a tu-tu I was making for miss Lydias birthday. Made that thing in record time! And it was so pretty!

Went over to City Lake Park in HP to her party. Dreyden did okay. Was a bit fussy but he enjoyed it. When we all got home the whole family took a WONDERFUL 2 hour nap. Had no idea. We all woke up around 5 to that crazy storm.
We also found out Saturday that we were approved for our loan!! So they will start clearing our land soon to start building :] We are SOO excited! I will be posting photos of the progress as it goes along.

And today me and the kids went out to moms house to swim. We first drove out to the land and I actually walked the land to see how bade the grade was. And its not bad at all so hopefully we will have a good yard to play in.
Delaney LOVED swimming today. And of course Dreyden always does.

I love my babies so much! And Im so blessed to be able to stay home with them. Delaney started to babble 'da da da' today. She is getting so big. I cant believe she will be 6 months soon, and Dreyden will be 3!

Havent forgotten!

Dont worry. I havent already forgotten about this! We have just been busy this weekend. Between going to moms, running errands, sessions, and our loan. I swear we have barely been home.

Currently Dreyden is screaming about some ice cream while Delaney is giggling and yelling with excitement in her jump-a-roo. Oh dont you love nights like these?

Delaney thinks her brother is absolutely hilarious! She has been playing in her Jump-a-roo and just giggling away at Dreyden.

He did it!

FINALLY! Dreyden pooped in the potty. I thought it would never happen after his accident at grandmas house :/
He got up to use the potty. I didnt think anything of it until a few minutes passed and I started hearing "ew.. eewww... EWW" HAHA
I go check on him and sure enough. He had tried to put it in the big potty like he normally does.
I will save you the details. But I had a wonderful mess to clean up :] I was very happy to clean this mess up to tell you the truth. Its funny the things you get excited about when your kids start growing up.

OH YEAH!

I forgot that after starting this blog I can cross off  #79!

79- Start a journal about things the kids to daily for them to read when they grow up

Since I don't have extra money for a nice journal right now. Or I ALWAYS forget while I'm out, I decided starting it online would be easier! I can always transfer these to paper down the road if I feel the need to :]

Oh man! Now that is $3 each that I owe the kids piggy banks!

#52- Donate all our disposable diapers to a baby in need
AND
#54- Donate the majority of my maternity clothes to mommies to be in need

I stopped by the Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center today. Its a place for young families with unplanned pregnancies can go for help. They have a great program of where you earn 'points' by coming to meetings and you can buy things you need with those points.

I took an overflowing diaper box full of maternity clothes. As well as a huge bag of disposable diapers. I wish I would have taken a photo of it all before I left the house!

It felt so good to donate those instead of trying to sell them. I am so glad I put that on my list or I would have never done it! I hope to have more together to bring to them in the future!

YAY!

Dreyden came into my room about 7 wanting to cuddle. I went and checked his bed and it was dry! Asked him if he used to potty today and he said yes. Im so proud! He is such a big boy now.

Princess

Sorry. Have to catch up a little so there might be multiple posts a day ;]

I absolutely can not believe how fast she is growing up. She will be five months, yes FIVE MONTHS on Saturday :[ She is turning into such a beautiful little girl. I am in love with how amazed she is with her big brother. I wouldnt trade the looks on her face when she is interacting with him for anything. I love being a mommy to two WONDERFUL children. I am so lucky to have them as my own.

Amazes me

Everyday that goes by Dreyden finds ways to amaze me. I am so proud of him for potty training so well the past week.

This morning around 7 he came into my room yelling he had to go potty. I sleep drunkenly undressed him and sent him on his way. His pull up was completely dry!

He has come so far in just a week!

He now will go to the potty by him self, empty his potty into the big toilet, flush, and re-assemble his potty. At first I thought he was pretending to do it all, then I watched him without him knowing and sure enough he was doing it all. The only thing left for him to work on is pulling the pants up and down.

This afternoon we went to meet with the builder and realtor. While walking land he said he needed to go potty. I tried to get him to go outside but he is so set on having the potty, it was a no go. He had a pull up on do I told him to just pee. We get home and its dry. The booger held it the whole time we were out.

Tonight he was sitting in the living room with me and Delaney watching TV, out of no where he said "I'm tired." and disappeared. I go to check on him 30 minutes later and he put himself to bed!

Hes not wearing his night time pull up so lets see if there are any accidents tonight.

Super proud Mommy! [Growing up so fast!]

I can officially cross off #12- Get Dreyden Potty Trained from my list of 101 things in 1001 days!
 Ive been a little MIA past few days. Because we have been diaper free for three days now. And we also had ZERO accidents today! I am so proud of my big boy. He will be three in June so this is just in time. We have been working with him for almost a year and he just now showed interest this week. We could not be happier about this.
